If you withdraw Bitcoin from Freecash to a crypto address or Stake account owned by someone else, we cannot recoup the funds and offer you a refund. If you enter an invalid address or username, however, the transaction will be automatically cancelled, and the funds will be returned to your Freecash account.
Withdrawing Bitcoin Directly from Freecash
If you enter an invalid or incorrectly formatted Bitcoin address, the transaction will fail, and your funds will be returned.
If you enter a valid address that you do not control, the transaction is final, and the funds cannot be recovered.
Withdrawing Bitcoin via Stake
The same rules apply when withdrawing Bitcoin to a Stake account.
If you enter an invalid Stake username, the transaction won’t be processed, and your funds will be returned.
If you enter a valid Stake username that belongs to someone else, we cannot retrieve the funds and therefore cannot offer a refund.
