A chargeback on Freecash occurs when an offer or survey partner disputes a payment for a task you've completed. This typically happens when the partner believes the task wasn't finished correctly or if there was fraudulent activity involved.
What is a Chargeback?
After completing an Offer or Survey and receiving a reward, one of our Offer or Survey partners may decide that a task wasn't completed to their standards and deny payment for the task - this is called a Chargeback.
Chargebacks take back the coins awarded for the offer. This can happen anywhere from immediately to up to 90 days after the offer is completed. Freecash is not the company charging back offers, the Offer Partners/ Offer Providers are.
While specific reasons for chargebacks aren't always disclosed, common causes include:
Multiple attempts to complete an offer with the same account
Using multiple accounts to complete offers or surveys
Completing offers through VPNs, proxies, or VPS
Providing false information
Inconsistent or contradictory survey answers
What does that mean for me?
Chargebacks can negatively impact your earnings and potentially lead to account restrictions. To minimize the risk of chargebacks, it's crucial to follow the specific instructions for each task and avoid any actions that could be considered fraudulent. By being honest and completing tasks diligently, you can help ensure a positive experience on Freecash.
You can check your chargebacks by heading to your Freecash Profile, then to the “Chargebacks” tab. If you cannot see the Chargebacks tab it means that you have not received any Chargebacks - well done!
Chargeback rate
While a low chargeback rate is ideal, we understand that occasional chargebacks can happen. We allow users to have up to a 10% chargeback rate without facing any penalties. However, if your chargeback rate exceeds 10%, we will temporarily hold your completed offers. This means that your balance won't increase, and you won't be able to withdraw these funds.
We will release these Offers after you have brought down your chargeback rate to below 10%.
Please note in some cases if we deem your Chargeback rate to be too high and you will be unable to bring it down to below 10% we will ban your account.
How to Calculate Chargeback Rate
Whilst you can calculate your chargeback rate manually by using the steps below, users are not able to see their Chargeback rate within their Profile. However, if you contact Freecash Support we can tell you!
Identify the Total Earned Coins: Add up all the coins you've earned, excluding any rewards or bonuses.
Determine the Chargebacked Coins: Find the total number of coins that have been charged back.
Calculate the Percentage: Divide the chargebacked coins by the total earned coins, then multiply the result by 100.
